The Collection Demonstrates How Bdi’s Specialty Is Fusing Technology And Storage.
At this week’s High Point Market, the expert in home office and entertainment furniture BDI unveiled a significant new category: the bedroom.
“How do we grow, we asked ourselves.” said Marketing director at BDI, Dave Adams. “Although retailers will simply substitute one of our older desks for a new one, new desks are good. New categories are what’s coming up, then.”
The Linq collection, a six-piece bedroom set that includes two beds, two nightstands, a chest, and a dresser, was unveiled for the first time this week in BDI’s showroom at the International Home Furnishings Center, space D-536.
The collection demonstrates that BDI’s specialty is fusing technology and storage. Three power outlets and USB ports are concealed behind the beds. On top, there is a storage space as well.
The height of bed frames and platforms can be changed by up to 6 inches by varying leg heights. This was carried out to better accommodate various mattress thicknesses. One of the beds is marginally slimmer than the other, but otherwise they are similar. Walnut frames with veneers and beveled edges are among the physical characteristics.
Two nightstands, one measuring 28 inches and the other 22 inches, have more power options and drawers that keep cords organized. Both can be used as side tables.
The fact that the collection is STURDY compatible right out of the gate, however, may be the most important aspect of it. “We will be ahead of the game on this,” said Adams.
Due to an interlocking system that prevents more than one drawer from being open simultaneously per column, this is possible.
Turkey and Vietnam are the sources of the line. Adams didn’t provide a price range just yet, but he did say it would be higher than BDI’s other offerings.
BDI wants to start shipping the line in May.
