At the spring 2023 High Point Market, three brand-new trends are examined by International Market Centers’ TrendWatch.
The semi-annual report highlights products that will be on display at the April 22–26 market in three on-site product displays, a pre-market webinar, a digital flipbook, an onsite seminar, and other venues.
The Spring Trends Are:
- CONFECTIONS is a a range of neutrals: sugary nougat, crisp meringue, soft caramel, syrupy butterscotch and brown sugar. Along with accent colors like chopped hazelnut, roasted chestnut, bursts of green, pinks and purples with a reddish cast, and matte finishes, the colors blend with woven materials, cozy textiles, and matte finishes.
- IMMERSION is inspired by multi-sensory shows that stir emotions, evoke place and travel back in time. When combined with white accents, edgy florals, wall coverings with kaleidoscopic effects, curved and/or elongated forms, and lustrous finishes, vibrant colors with energizing hues, like Pantone’s color of the year, Viva Magenta, are particularly striking.
- STUDIO is inspired by the 1990s with a color-forward story featuring denim blues paired with casual neutrals. The style is relaxed, at ease, and young. Light washes to dark rinses of blue are represented in the color palette, while smaller-scale furniture and charming handcrafted accessories complete the look.
Confections, Immersion, and Studio are explored through the digital flipbook in addition to a number of online and offline events that are part of the DesignOnHPMKT by IMC programming. Pre-market webinar on April 12, on-site seminar on April 22, and TrendWatch Tour of at-market vignettes in the International Home Furnishings Center Green lobby, Suites at Market Square entrance, and Showplace walkway on April 24.
The 17 properties owned by IMC in High Point invite exhibitors to submit new products for consideration for TrendWatch. On March 8, submissions are due. Information about programming and submissions is online.
